Red Polka Dotted Bows

We did a photo shoot with Poncho over the weekend, her modelling her new bow from the Sydney Paddington Market. This cute bow comes in numerous colours and patterns and I would have bought so many if J hadn’t stopped me haha. Enjoy the photos!

5 weeks into school and I was in a desperate need of a break so J decided to treat me to a flight to Sydney over the weekend! Hurray for his first pay check haha. We explored many markets such as Paddington, Rozelle and Glebe. And when i say “we”, I mean I dragged J with me because I love walking around and looking at odd little trinkets and knick knacks whereas he just tags along. But he managed to find himself the cutest cuff links I’ve seen, mini airplanes! And him being the fan of anything aviation, snapped them up straightaway. My haul included a bow tie for poncho (will upload photos of that in the future), a pair of mini porcelain clogs from holland, and an art piece. The sydney-siders also brought us on a cycling trip at Manly, highly recommended! Cycling up to the north head is spectacular albeit tiring. The killer climb up-slope is worth the scenery, and for $20++ for 2 hours it’s pretty good. I made a mistake wearing black leather shorts, acting as a solar panel for the sun and gradually melting the longer we cycled. That’s it for now I guess, goodnight!

Eye of the Tiger

The approach I’ve taken to this year’s overwhelming information from school is aptly named after the Rocky soundtrack. I have to make it, and I feel like time has moved past at a glacial pace. It’s been two weeks since I’ve stepped into a whirlwind of what my future life would be like in the form of lectures and practicals. And coincidentally, I happen to have a dress in the cupboard that is fierce enough for this task, haha I kid, I can’t wear this to school if I intend to make a quick getaway from several types of farm animals. Plus I wouldn’t want turd all over this “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” dress. Such a contradicting piece but yet it makes sense no? I better finish this post up before the next blackout (two so far) occurs! Hope you guys enjoyed the photos. FYI I have a camberwell stall coming up where I intend to sell accessories, bags, shoes and numerous clothing’s from my wardrobe. Be sure to come down and check out on 14th April!

It’s the day after Valentine’s but I’m still living in the moment. Despite the long hours at school, and the horrendous jam on the way to the restaurant, it turned out to be the most wonderful Valentine’s. It’s my second time celebrating it with J and the first time was really my first Valentine’s ever haha. We went to Fenix and out of the 6 courses, some were alright and some spectacular. J had a blast watching me balk at the first oyster I’ve ever eaten (it will not be happening again). On another note, I cannot stop thinking about the dessert! There was a chocolate pudding with a lava centre, oh so rich and luscious in your mouth. An ice-cream ball that was coated with coconut and freeze dried berries, heaven in a bite. Lastly was J’s favourite, a layered cake. Chocolate sponge, peanut butter coating, chocolate mousse, chocolate glaze and topped with a gold leaf. Can’t get more decadent than that ūüėČ And yes, everything in the photos above is what Mister Man has given to me for the special thursday (plus there were flowers). He sent me a photo of the crazy queue at the florist yesterday, desperate men fighting to grab whatever they could, flowers, balloons, adornments etc and I can truly say I’m touched at the lengths he went to. I hope all of you reading this had a good day yesterday like I did!

Watching the Ellen Show and typing out this post is so distracting as every few minutes I end up laughing. She is hilarious and entertaining, who else chucks a whole bunch of vegetables into a fruit punch instead of chopping a few leaves off? I love all the work she does for animals. Adopt a pet instead of buying! School is starting soon and I won’t be able to update this blog as often anymore with outfits. But I love how J and I are continually learning new ways to take photos, like the green one at the top. The green haze you see is his attempt at snapping a shot through leaves which resulted in this alluring bamboo forest-esque effect. I’m dying to go traveling or take shots of people and fashion week and scenery and dogs from around the world!!! Count down to the insurmountable amount of days.

The Grey and White Blur

Back in Singapore, I managed to spend some time with the little ingrate I adopted from Melbourne. He has completely forgotten who I am and only snuggles up with me when I approach the cat food bin. Thanks a lot cat. To Smokey: If you don’t remember, we used to be best friends in Melbourne and you would sleep with me (or on me), wrap around my neck while I studied or peer through the bars of my bed while I sat at my desk. You were a dog in a cat’s body, greeting me at the door when I got back and constantly intruding into my personal space by placing your face in mine while I’m trying to watch tv. Moving on, I’m completely obsessed by cat’s paws. Don’t you love the softness and pinkness that step all over your face at night. Better than a dog’s paw I’d say.

State of Rose

Who knew that the west side is more abundant and interesting than I imagined. I always thought it would be industrial parks, acres and acres of empty land, super far from the city but no, the State Rose Garden is just down the road! So for Australia Day, J and I ventured out in the heat to check out the place and boy was it beautiful. It’s what every girl would dream of if we lived in a chateau and could choose what our backyard would faintly resemble. The scent of roses hit you as you step out of the car, in all its glory its a pity it attracts bees and major fat flies too. Walking through the gardens hand in hand, wandering around the mazes was a dream, interjected by occasional hand slaps and spasming actions trying to swish away flies. Hilarious to watch. We’re hoping to go back to see the Werribee Mansion, fingers crossed.

I’m back! I truly apologise for the hiatus I’ve been on, been so busy with many things the past 2 months. I was attached to two separate vet clinics for a month, which was incredible and I learnt so much. Also settled my house move and connecting utilities etc etc, things that come with moving to a new place. That also means I didn’t have time to go dressy dressy and try out all my new buys. But back in Singapore, J and I made time to go to the Botanic Gardens and have a quick shoot in the zen garden. This floaty little white dress with a quirky pop of neon green underneath really intrigues me. It’s sweet yet spunky, kinda like sweet chilli sauce ūüėõ Now lets get on with the pictures shall we…

Midnight Overalls

Top: H&M         Overalls: Style Nanda            Shoes: Sportsgirl            Earrings: ASOS           Watch: Fossil

I never thought overalls could be glamorous or formal when I started my vet course. I usually adorned navy blue or dustbin-green overalls so that I wouldn’t get dirty out in the farms, but this black beauty had me thinking twice. It could be dressed down with just a white or grey tshirt or dressed up with a formal blouse. And oh my lucky wardrobe, I had this midnight purple silk blouse that paired perfectly with these ASOS gems. Sorta resembles a jewelled scarab beetle doesn’t it? Who doesn’t love how creepy the scarab beetles were in the Mummy movie, woohoo Brendan Fraser. Till next time, have a good weekend everyone while I drown in this monsoon season.

I’m Alive!

Hello again, oh my has it been ages since I’ve last blogged. I apologise for my disappearance over the past 2 to 3 weeks. After exams were over I went on a packing frenzy to move to the new place and then I flew home. I was meaning to put up a new post BUT silly me forgot to bring back the cable that allows me to upload photos ): so for now, I shall entertain you with photos of Poncho whom I miss so very much. I will definitely return with a new post when I buy another cable tomorrow! Hope you all have been having a pleasant month of November.
